While visiting SEA WORLD SAN DIEGO recently,
my good friend Laurie Conrad (one of the directors of animals and birds at the park) gave me the great opportunity
to meet Jack Hannah, someone who I've always respected and admired for the impact he has had in the animal
world.
The
summer of 2008 Chris was invited to be the "FEATURED GUEST ARTIST" at the World renown
Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival. For those of you not familiar with the art festival ( Go to it next year, you will treat yourself
to a fantastic event).
Chris Hoy really WOW-ed the crowd when he provided a LION, baby Wolves,
and many other exotic animals at his show! Talk about up close and personal.. these were the cutest babies Mother
Nature could allow you to enjoy! Below are some pictures of Chris working in
his booth.
The following
photos are from Chris's visit to the Jones Family on the Kona "BIG Island" of Hawaii! In celebration of ROXY's 1st Birthday; They surprised her with Chris's painting of some
of her favorite Disney Characters!
While
Chris was there he took time to stop and visit a very rare "WHITE STRIPPED ZEBRA" ( with Blue
Eyes) at the Three Ring Ranch.
Chris
was thrill to be asked by the General Manager Geoff Young to enchant the guest of the Ritz Charlton in Laguna Niguel
and Paradise Point in Mission Bay of San Diego, by painting "EIGHT FOOT"Easter Eggs specially
created for the Resorts with the collaboration of the San Diego Zoo and Sea World of San Diego, CA.
Chris had the opportunity of a
lifetime to personally meet with Jane Goodall. Her work with Chimps and other wildlife has
been an inspiration.
Chris
recently visited Dan in Palm Springs, CA where the C.H.E.E.T.A. Primary Sanctuary is located. Chris spent time
with Dan and "Cheeta" ( Tarzan's humorous sidekick who starred in numerous movies during decades
beginning over seventy years ago. ).

The wonderful rewards in life are the joys that Chris brings to all individuals. Here,
Chris sits to paint a mural of Disney's "Little Mermaid" for his good friends the Honda Family!
Many on the "Big Island" are
familiar with Wyland's Fantastic "Marine Life" art paintings presented on varies mediums. Here are the two
artists side by side taking a moment to relax and enjoy their friendship and share stories.
